AlphaTrek is a leading provider of enabling location technology that provides accuracy and cost benefits unavailable from other sources. Founded in 2002 AlphaTrek has worked closely with the University of Maryland Computer Science Department, on the commercialization and productization of research, inventions and resulting patents. Specifically the AlphaTrek offerings spring from commercially and federally funded research programs carried out by the University's MIND Lab. Over twenty person years of research and development is represented in AlphaTrek patent protected offerings.
As a result of its efforts AlphaTrek is now the exclusive licensee of the resulting patents and maintains and advances them through its staff of computer scientists and professionals of who many are original inventors of the original location technologies.
AlphaTrek has licensees addressing mission critical applications in security, asset management, law enforcement, and mobile e-commerce applications.
