Location Based Technology
AlphaTrek provides two enabling location technologies addressing different application spaces. , PinPoint provides a unique technology for extremely accurate location data using Time of Distance Arrival (DTOA) calculations without the requirement and expense of synchronized clocks! Horus This patented technology represents the ideal platform for building scalable RTLS solutions
Horus location technology is based on signal strength measurement and may be installed on many commercial devices and platforms. With Horus wifi aware devices such as a cell phones, MP3 players or internet tablets can become RTLS vehicles that can operate indoors where GPS is not available ad with accuracy to three to five feet.
Context Based Applications
In a world of information glut users are bombarded with useless information. Context based application use information the user, environment, location goals and prefereces to pre filter information that targets the user and enhaces information access solutions.

July 2008. AlphaTrek continued its history of being granted exclusive commercial rights for several Technologies developed at MINDLab of the University of Maryland. The RTLS mobile context aware platform provides context aware social networking, access to services, security and commerce applications.

Patent 7,406,116 been issued by the the United States patent office for the Hours location technology on July 29, 2008 . The Patent was filed on March 26 2004 and represents a unique methodology for extremely accurate locationdetermination using utilizing Bayesian mathematical techniquesrather then the traditional Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA), trilateration or triangulation techniques in common use.
